M&S to shutter 4 underperforming stores in Ireland

Marks & Spencer will close four unprofitable stores in Ireland, leaving the London-based grocery and apparel retailer with 17 stores in the country. The retailer blamed the closures on the worst recession in the country's modern history, and said it will move forward with a 72,000-square-foot Limerick flagship set to open in 2016.
