Research ships become classrooms for science teachers

Twenty-five teachers will gain hands-on experience aboard research vessels as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Teacher at Sea program. Educators participating in the voyages will maintain blogs about their experiences and create lesson plans that will become part of an online, searchable database where other educators can access the lessons for free.
