U.K. health agency releases new procurement plan

The National Health Service in England has issued a document outlining its procurement program, which aims to help NHS hospitals cut wasteful spending by learning and employing acquisition strategies. Among the goals of the new program is to help clinicians in the procurement of high-end medical devices. The Association of British Healthcare Industries, which represents the U.K. medtech industry, called the document a potential game changer.
