Unfair-labor-practice claim by university faculty is upheld by R.I. board

An allegation of unfair labor practices at the University of Rhode Island has resulted in a preliminary order determining that a violation occurred. The state Labor Relations Board made its decision after reviewing the complaint, which is related to the union's contract. The board typically does not reverse its determinations, said Robyn Golden, the board's administrator.
