Baltimore demolition permit from archdiocese given OK

Baltimore Housing Commissioner Paul T. Graziano said the only reason he allowed the demolition permit to tear down an apartment building in the city was because the application came from the Archdiocese of Baltimore. A private developer would have been turned down due to the city's urban renewal policy regarding preservation of historic buildings.
