Survey: Identity theft a major consumer worry

Consumers rank concerns about identity theft and computer security fourth, behind product quality, customer service and company ethics, as factors influencing their buying decisions, according to "Securing the Trust in Your Brand," a new study from the CMO Council. The report showed 43% of American consumers ended an online transaction because of security worries.
