Hemlock Semiconductor considers expansion

Hemlock Semiconductor Corp., which is primarily owned by Dow Corning Corp., says it is considering expanding to Clarksville, Tenn. The maker of semiconductor microchips, fiber-optic cable and other products also said Carroll County, Ky., would be a logical place for expansion because Dow Corning is in nearby Carrollton, Ky.
