Industry strives to reduce risks in derivatives markets

Over-the-counter derivatives emerged during the past year as some of the most risk-filled and nerve-racking financial creations. Much progress has been made, including a group of major dealers' efforts, which outlined aggressive goals for reducing risks. While other developments are on the horizon, still more needs to be done.
