Banks turn to Asia to succeed in corporate banking

Bank of America Merrill Lynch, JPMorgan Chase and other banks are striving for pieces of the lucrative corporate-banking market in Asia, but competition is fierce. "The 2008 crisis hit Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan's home market hard," said a corporate-banking executive in Hong Kong. "Now they're looking outside North America in order to grow."
