Companies overhaul businesses to comply with the Dodd-Frank law

Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street firms are working to comply with various portions of the Dodd-Frank law by getting rid of some operations or restructuring them. The changes are not expected to have much of an effect on their bottom line. Bank executives are particularly focused on private equity and proprietary-trading activities.
