Michigan's new artificial turf almost got watered

A new artificial turf was installed at Michigan Stadium and football coach Rich Rodriguez wanted to make sure it had plenty of water. Sound funny? He admits it sounds crazy to water an artificial surface, but the process helps the pebbles in the turf settle properly. However, rain in the area meant the extra watering wasn't needed.
