SEC solicits additional feedback on fiduciary standard study

The Securities and Exchange Commission is expanding its process for soliciting comments on their study of a federal fiduciary standard. The agency issued a request for public comment just days after financial-reform legislation was passed and plans to establish e-mail boxes on its website for comments by topic. "The idea is to offer maximum opportunity for public comment and to provide greater transparency," said SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro.
