U.S. to start collecting new fee from foreign visitors

The Travel Promotion Act established a new federal tourism bureau, which will be funded through fees charged to visitors entering the U.S. The fees, totaling $14 per visitor and assessed every two years, will be collected through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization. The European Commission criticized the new fee.
