AAP suggests 11 ways to prevent heat-related conditions in youths

The AAP recommended 11 strategies to reduce heat-related risks in children and adolescents, such as making appropriate drinks available before, during and after activities, adjusting physical activities in relation to environmental heat stress, and getting adequate rest and recovery. According to the policy statement published in Pediatrics, undue physical exertion and inappropriate activity outfits are among the factors of heat-related conditions in youths.
