Online retail spending saw double-digit increase in Q2

Online shoppers spent 14% more in the second quarter of 2011 than in the same period last year, despite weaker overall consumer demand, according to new data from comScore. The report also found that the number of online shoppers rose 16%, and e-commerce now represents almost $1 of every $10 in discretionary spending by consumers.
