SCE&G says S.C. reactors could secure licenses by January

South Carolina Electric & Gas expects to secure a license to operate two new reactors in Fairfield County, S.C., by January. According to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the company's application is complete and a final safety report on the project should be released in September. The reactors will come online in 2016 and 2019.
