States start lining up for NCLB waivers

After learning the Obama administration would grant No Child Left Behind waivers, several states have announced that they intend to apply. Officials from Minnesota, South Carolina, Nevada, Tennessee, Kentucky and Michigan say they intend to seek waivers or have already have applied. School chiefs in Wisconsin and Virginia also said they are supportive. However, few details have been released about the conditions under which the waivers will be granted.
