UN's carbon metrics may be future benchmark for ISO

The International Organization for Standardization is evaluating the option of adopting the United Nations' Common Carbon Metric as an international measure to maintain consistency in the measurement and reporting of carbon emissions in buildings worldwide. The metric gauges performance through either a top-down approach using data from an entire group of buildings or city, or a bottom-up approach that analyzes data for single structures.
