4-week average of jobless claims hits pre-recession rate

The four-week rolling average of first-time unemployment claims, seen as a better measure of labor-market conditions, has reached its lowest level since before the recession. The total, 335,500, is the smallest since November 2007, the U.S. Labor Department says.
