Acer to decrease Microsoft offerings, increase Android

Computer-maker Acer is looking to reduce its Microsoft offerings and instead increase revenues generated from its devices running Google's Android operating system to 30% by next year. Currently, those devices make up 10% to 12% of the Taiwanese company's revenues. "Android is very popular in smartphones and dominant in tablets. ... I also see a new market there for Chromebooks," Acer President Jim Wang said.
