Artist's painting series is flyspeck-tacular

Artist John Knuth has created a series of abstract paintings, but his medium isn't as pretty as his finished works. Knuth's paintings are created by feeding flies colored sugar water, then encouraging them to vomit a substance called "flyspeck" onto a treated canvas. The resulting tiny splashes of color, harvested from more than 250,000 flies, make up individual dots in the finished painting.
