China export numbers buoy Asian shares

Better-than-expected export figures in China lifted shares across Asia on Thursday with the exception of Japan, where a stronger yen continued to weigh on stocks. The Nikkei fell 1.59% to 13,605.56 while the Hang Seng rose 0.31% to 21,655.88, the Kospi added 0.30% to 1,883.97 and the S&P/ASX jumped 1.07% to 5,064.80.
