D.C.'s ACA exchange sees opportunity in covering Congress, staffs

The DC Health Benefit Exchange, the District of Columbia's health insurance marketplace under the Affordable Care Act, could be a major beneficiary of the Office of Personnel Management's decision to continue federal contribution to the health care plans that lawmakers and their staffs must buy through the exchanges starting next year. Congress' presence will add young, healthy contributors to one of the nation's smallest exchanges. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the health insurance needs of Members of Congress and their staff," said executive director Mila Kofman in a statement.
