Doctor calls palliative care a different way of practicing medicine

Recently certified palliative physician Michael Schrager said palliative care is team-based and a different way of practicing medicine, but "it's really the way to do it." Schrager, who completed his medical residency in 1984, did not do a palliative care fellowship but instead passed an exam to attain his Hospice and Palliative Medicine Certificate of Added Qualifications from the American Board of Family Medicine.
