Feds urged to review reports of offshore fracking in Calif.

Federal regulators need to probe reports that hydraulic fracturing is being carried out off the coast of California, state lawmakers said. "Hydraulic fracturing poses great potential dangers to our sea life and all California residents," said state Assemblyman Das Williams. "This controversial well-stimulation technique needs greater scrutiny, particularly when it potentially jeopardizes our coastal way of life."
