India's small merchants find a place at the e-commerce table

The rising tide of online retail in India is lifting smaller boats, with marketplaces including Amazon and Flipkart providing a place for third-party merchants to sell their goods, and tech vendors such as iQeCommerce help small players create their own online stores. Ayurvedic products seller Nirogam has been selling online since 2002, and today the small merchant is booking a monthly growth rate of 15% and closing in on $500,000 in annual sales.
