Involuntary separations might be coming next year, Carter says

Deputy Defense Secretary Ash Carter said Wednesday that sequestration might force the Pentagon to implement involuntary separations next year. He noted that sequestration could reduce the Pentagon's budget by $52 billion. "We’re going to have to absorb that much budget cut while doing our best to keep this institution with the sharp edge it needs to have to protect us," he said.
