JetBlue awaiting FAA approval for Ka-band gear installation

JetBlue is waiting on the Federal Aviation Administration for supplemental type certification in order to move ahead with Ka-band equipment installation on its entire fleet for its Exede service. When it receives approval, which is expected any day now, the carrier says it will complete another 90-day test period piloting the equipment in the air.
