St. Joseph Public Schools in Missouri will implement the state's new math curriculum this fall, and educators say the changes will be good for students and teachers. The new curriculum will focus on problem solving and introduce math concepts earlier. "It'll help them think like mathematicians," secondary education math coordinator Angela Dorsey said. "It'll help them begin to look at problems and determine what math they need to use and be able to use it as opposed to just practicing the same problem over and over again," she added.
