New engine indicator gets FAA approval

Electronics International’s CGR-30P engine indicator has recently gained approval from the Federal Aviation Administration. The unit can replace the tachometer in certified airplanes and also displays manifold pressure, fuel flow, oil pressure and temperature. Prices start at $3,596 for four-cylinder engines, and a second unit can be added for $2,900.
