Online retailers look ahead to the holidays

Half of the online retailers surveyed recently by and Prosper Insights & Analytics said they've been getting ready for the holidays since April or May, and more than half said that a mobile-optimized site is a key investment this year. In other findings, search and e-mail ranked high on the list of holiday marketing tools, and 38% said they're exploring free-shipping options that include a minimum purchase.
