PayPal: Geofencing produces a surge in clicks for some mobile advertisers

Geofencing produced a 68% increase in click-thru rates for convenience stores and service stations and a 60% boost for financial services, with those two categories leading the way in a study by PayPal Media Network. Overall, across all sectors, geofencing produced an 8% lift in click-thrus compared with campaigns without location-based targeting.
