Research project to use mHealth tools to study patients' asthma attacks

Qualcomm has collaborated with Zephyr Technology and Asthmapolis in a 50-patient research project, called the Wireless Reach Initiative, that will use mobile health platforms developed by the companies to determine where and how patients have their worst asthma attacks. Data gathered from the participants at Rady Children's Hospital will enable providers to personalize their treatments and inform them about behaviors that might trigger asthma attacks.
