Russian sports minister tells LGBT advocates to "calm down"

The Russian sports minister, who has warned LGBT athletes that they could be prosecuted if they broke laws against LGBT propaganda while in Sochi for the Winter Olympics, this week said athletes' rights would be protected, but they will still be expected to abide by Russia's laws. "Rest assured that all the athletes and all the sports organizations should be relaxed," Vitaly Mutko said. "I want to ask you to calm down."
