The next stage in quick-shot mobile video applications is from YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen and is called MixBit. It allows users to record for 16 seconds and mix the clips into longer-form videos -- up to an hour. The app also furthers sharing by allowing users to incorporate each other's clips into their finished product. The "whole purpose" of the app is to create reusable content and "focus on great stories that people can tell," Hurley says.
