Study rejects link between flu shots, pregnancy complications

Researchers looked at data on more than 374,000 women in the U.S. and found that flu vaccination during pregnancy was not associated with a higher risk of complications, including gestational diabetes, urinary tract infection and hypertension. Women who received flu shots during pregnancy also were no more likely to develop complications such as preeclampsia or blood clots after birth. The findings appear in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology.
