Tanzania's farmers find it hard to grow exports

Tanzania's farmers beat their counterparts in Kenya when it comes to crop yields, but a lack of infrastructure keeps them behind when it comes to exporting, according to a report. A large percentage of the fruits, vegetables and spices grown in Tanzania never make it to international markets and much of what's produced perishes because small farmers lack the connections needed to get their goods to market, the report says.
