What's behind the recent decline in childhood obesity?

Thomas Frieden, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is attributing a decline in childhood obesity -- announced earlier this week -- to three factors. Frieden says efforts to promote exercise and nutrition among students, such as first lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" program, is a factor in curbing childhood obesity. Other factors include more emphasis on the nutritional content in government-provided foods and an increase in breast-feeding.
