3D printing is key to reducing parts count for space bus

Additive manufacturing is seen as the key to much faster production of structurally sound parts for Lockheed Martin's A2100 satellite bus, according to this article. Given an ongoing drive to reduce the number of parts needed, the company is now aiming for at least 50% 3D-printed structures for the vehicle within three years.
