Facebook looks to strengthen data protection with PrivateCore purchase

Facebook said it is purchasing cybersecurity firm PrivateCore, which produces encryption technology for information stored on computer memory chips, in an effort to better protect its users' data. "I've seen how much people care about the security of data they entrust to services like Facebook," Facebook's Joe Sullivan said in a post. "PrivateCore's technology and expertise will help support Facebook's mission to help make the world more open and connected, in a secure and trusted way."
