In Asia, milk takes on local flavors

The business of selling cow's milk in Asia is getting increasingly competitive, as the rise of the middle class brings with it a new generation of milk drinkers. With Asians (not counting the Japanese) consuming 1.3 gallons of milk per capita per year, compared with 24 gallons in North America, dairy companies see huge growth potential and are marketing milk beverages with a combination of healthful additives and traditional Asian flavors.
