As Americans are becoming more tied to their jobs and the technology used to help them do their jobs, competitiveness and an addiction to upward mobility is seen as the reason many are not taking vacations. Observers say the trend of undervacationing is not helpful to over-stressed workers, who would benefit from a serious BlackBerry-less break.
