Dreamliner engine certified airworthy

Rolls-Royce has announced that its Trent 1000 engine has received its airworthiness certification, removing a potential obstacle to the Boeing's 787's first flight. About half of the Dreamliners on order will feature the Rolls-Royce engine, the company said. GE Aviation has also developed an engine for the new jet.
