FDA says heartburn drugs don't appear to cause heart problems

The FDA and Canada's drug regulating body announced Thursday that popular heartburn drugs Prilosec and Nexium don't seem to pose heart risk, following a preliminary review. The agency found two small studies that suggested a concern were skewed and examined 14 other studies that showed no evidence of heart risk. The probe will be completed within three months.
