NexCen buys Pretzel Time, Pretzelmaker

NexCen Brands has acquired the franchisor assets of Pretzel Time and Pretzelmaker for $29.4 million. Robert W. D'Loren, president and CEO of NexCen, which owns the MaggieMoo's and Marble Slab Creamery brands, said in a statement that the new brands are "representative of the types of acquisition opportunities that [the company] has targeted to grow our QSR vertical and to increase sales in our existing ice cream concepts."
