Number of Ontario children with IBD doubles, study finds

Data from a Canadian study found a 50% increase in the prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease in Ontario children from 1994 to 2005. Researchers said the risk remained about the same for teenagers and tweens, but an increasing incidence of the disease was found in children under age 10.
