BoE report is expected to reinforce interest-rate expectations

The Bank of England is poised to publish its quarterly inflation report Wednesday. Governor Mervyn King and his colleagues are expected to play down inflation concerns, and the report likely will reinforce expectations that interest rates will remain low for a while. The central bank is expected to make swift changes in policy only if inflation is predicted to exceed its target long term.
