Handcuffed woman escapes security at Canadian airport

A woman suspected of smuggling cocaine through Toronto's Pearson airport escaped in handcuffs from the secure Customs Hall, causing "a major panic attack" among law enforcement until local police picked her up outside the airport property. "This sort of thing doesn't happen often at the airport," said a police source. "She was arrested by our officers and returned to Customs." The incident has prompted a security review at the airport.
