Air Canada outlines plans for new low-cost carrier

Air Canada is planning to create a discount airline and will recruit hundreds of new flight attendants. The new employees will be offered a lower wage scale than those at its main airline. Air Canada said the launch of the discount carrier is key to gaining market share in North America and abroad.
