Android operating system may offer more options for IFE

Major in-flight entertainment vendors are looking to Google's Android operating system to offer more services. "With the advent of the Android application environment and the growth of airline mobility applications, we're confident that the goal of personalizing the in-flight experience for the passenger is much more achievable," says Stuart Dunleavy of Thales, an Android application developer.
